Non-Wing Sprints Highlight Special Event At Caney Valley Speedway Saturday

Caney Kansas (October 4, 2016) - Race fans are in for a special early October treat this Saturday night as non-wing sprint cars will invade the Caney Valley Speedway. Morton Excavating & DFR Discount Tire are the participating sponsors for this special event that will pay the sprints $1200 to win and $250 to start. Additional sponsors have also provided their support for this one-off race. These companies include: D&E Supply, DFR Autoworks, Action Auto Collision, Fode Trucking and Sewell Mechanical. 

Some of the drivers that are expected to compete in the sprint car division include: Caney Kansas native Andrew Deal, Mike Goodman, Matt "Mongoose" Sherrell, Johnny 'Hotrod' Kent, Tim Kent, David Stephenson, Danny Smith, Kyle Clark, Casey Wills, Cameron 'Hollywood' Hagin, Alex Sewell and Alex DeCamp among others. 

USRA B-Mods, Factory Stocks, and Non Wing Micro's will also be a part of this special evening. Shane Ballew leads Shawn Kisling in the USRA B-Mod division point standings (1137 pts-1056 pts) while in the Street Stock class, only 14 points split leader Ray Roberts from Roy Green (1107-1093). The Factory Stock class has Kason Carroll leading with 1221 points ahead of Coy Clark with 1125 points. The micros will feature drivers from around the area as they come to take on the 1/4-mile oval. 

Racing at the Caney Valley Speedway is powerful, challenging, and deceivingly fast and quick. These are the very characters of trait that make the action at the speedway extremely exciting and highly entertaining and it all happens this Saturday night!

Tickets are $15 with Senior tickets only five bucks. Kids 12 years and younger are free! Pit Passes are $35. Sprint teams will have a $20 pill draw fee. There will be a 1475 lb. weight rule for the sprints.   

Special times apply for this show. Main gates will open at 3:30pm. Drivers meeting is 5:30pm with hot laps to follow immediately after. Racing will begin at 6pm. (Drivers Meeting is at 5:30pm)

Racetrack is easy to locate as it is just 0.8 mile west of the intersection of US 75 and US 166 on CR 1600.
